Willow Smith, the Roc Nation signed daugther of dynamic duo Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith is back with a much more adult sound on latest release “Sugar and Spice”.
The track, which samples Radiohead‘s “Codex” from their 2012 release The King Of Limbs, released via her soundcloud account. This song has a very melancholy sound to it but inspiring as well definitely not the same little girl who gave us “Whip My Hair”, its very impressive you actually forget that she is only 12 years old. Now I must admit I couldn't really imagine what a 12 year old rich girl could be depressed about is beyond my comprehension. But it also goes to show you that you don't have to be poor with little to no opportunities to be depressed. I hope through her music she is able to work out her issues I'm sure her songs will reach little girls even adults all over the world. She seems to be going through an identity crisis something most of us never deal with we just go along with the majority while living our lives secretly. Well let me get off of my Soup Box... Take a listen below to this very deep song and let me know what you think.
