Lady Wu-Tang - "Protect Ya Neck" (Wu-Tang Tribute) - {Official Video}

This is one of the best tributes to this day, I remember when they first came I wasn't sure what to expect.  But after I realize they weren't trying to exploit the most dominant group in HipHop they were just paying homage.  I'm cool with it even though at the time they received a lot of hate, but come'on how can you hate on 9 of some of the dopest female emcees? Check them out below and tell us what ya'll think.

Thursday

Homeboy Sandman - "Dag, Philly Too" - {Official Video}

 While Homeboy Sandman was in London, England as part of his European tour, prolific Queens, New York the hailing rhymesmith dropped into the Shoreditch based SC:HQ for a catch-up. His Subject: Matter and Chimera EP just dropped along with Stones Throw LP First of a Living Breed not too far after.  He then took the cameras out into the trendy East London streets for an exclusive performance of an unreleased track titled "Dag, Philly Too" produced by rthentic RTNC.  This was a freestyle video shot in one take, now that's f@$! talent!

Tuesday

Apollo The Great - "Scattered Thoughts" - {Official Video}

Apollo The Great wastes no time on this classic joint talking about the streets of  New Jersey.  This was just one of the bangers off his Apollo 21 LP which has features like Wale, Joell Ortiz, Freeway, Sean Price and Jon Connor just to name a few.  It's been awhile since we've heard any new music from Apollo but his classics are timeless nevertheless.

Monday

SA-ROC - "Them Vimana Jets" - {Official Video}

Probably one of the dopest female Emcees of all time, but you probably never heard of her. Because she is so lyrical dope, dresses ethnically classy, and too black for the mainstream media. Until the majority of humans learn to embrace greatness like her, an artist like SA-ROC tends to remain in the shadows of underground HipHop World until 30 years later when society finally catches up. But trust me we will take HipHop serious here and pay homage to the superior artist while they are alive.

Friday

Ruste Juxx - "Boom Bap Goon Rap" - {Classic Video}

"Boom Bap Goon Rap" off of Ruste Juxx & Kyo Itachi's album 'Hardbodie Hip-Hop' is a real testament to Hardcore HipHop.  This genre of rap music gets a bad rap at times but never the less this is where HipHop began.  The street poets telling the stories most folks in the mainstream only read about in books and fairytales.  For example "Rappers Delight" wasn't a true representation of our culture it was the first song that mainstream media was willing to accept at the time.  But thanks to the internet and raw Emcees like Ruste who are helping to keep REal HipHop alive.

Wednesday

1982 (Statik Selektah & Termanology) - "Live It Up" (Ft. Lil Fame & Anjuli Stars) - {Video}

I had to dig in the crates for this classic, Termanology reminds me of Drake before he took over mainstream HipHop on this joint without the auto-tuneStatik is one of the old school DJ/Beatmaster who has always remain relevant over the years.  He truly has some major bangers on his resume but here were love to shine the light on the material that's dope but didn't get the proper respect.  This entire album was on some Big Daddy Kane smoothed out R&B sh#@!, check it out below and tell us what you think.

Monday

Childish Gambino Freestyles On TimWestWoodTv - {Classic Video}

Before Executive Producing Atlanta, starring in Star Wars movie Solo and a slew of other dope albums and TV appearances /movie features, Childish Gambino(aka Donald Glover) was on his HipHop grind.  Gambino reminds me of a young Kanye before he got rich and starting dealing with the Kardashian clan.  (Scratch that a young Mos Def because he has awesome acting chops as well) Just a young brotha with various talents, hungry to get his art out to the world.

Friday

De La Soul - "Stake's Is High" (CLASSIC THROWBACK) - {Official Video}

De La Soul changed the game back in the late 80's with their style of rap and lyrical content. Even though they don't get much mainstream love nowadays they still doing their thing underground. How many rappers you know can support themselves and their families just off of HipHop?  They are one of the few 80's HipHop groups who are still touring and releasing new material for over 25 years now. F**k what you heard this is what Real HipHop artist are made of.

Thursday

Rakim - "The Definition Of A Classic" - {Video}

 This is a 9-minute look at the icon known as Rakim, Reebok, and Complex presents The Definition of a Classic. The short film documents The God Emcee’s New York roots, his early partnership with Eric B. and their game-changing record “Eric B. Is President”, and explores his running influence and timeless legacy.  This was my all-time best Emcee coming up in Baltimore Maryland there wasn't another rapper on a higher scale at the time.

Wednesday

Tanya Morgan - "Borrow That (Boogie's Revenge)" - {Official Video}

 Truly a couple of the dopest underground HipHop groups of all time, Tanya Morgan has lasted the test of time.  Borrow That (Boogie's Revenge) is a classic banger off You & What Army. This is just a tease but we will be featuring more tracks featuring this so underrated rap duo.

Tuesday

Yasiin Bey (FKA Mos Def), Dead Prez & Mikeflo - "Made You Die" (Trayvon Martin Tribute) - {Official Video}

Back during the height of police brutality, a group of Real HipHop artist got together for this Trayvon Martin Tribute called "Made You Die", featuring Yasiin Bey (fka Mos Def), Dead Prez, and Mikeflo.  This is a good example of when great minds come together we can do great things.  This should have been a classic the mainstream media wants you to forget this sort of stuff.  Whatever happened to the "Self Destruction" movement songs?

Saturday

Blu & Exile - "Maybe One Day" (Ft Black Spade) - {Official Video}

Blu and Ex are one of the many HipHop acts that fly under the mainstream radar.  I just knew these guys would have been the next big thing coming out of the west coast before Kendrick Lamar.  But for whatever reason, they failed to reach that mainstream audience.  Here is one of my favorite tracks off their "Give Me My Flowers While I Can Still Smell Them" LP,you can pick up the album right here.

Friday

Rich Quick - "Travelin' Man" (Ft. Rakka Iriscience & Reef The Lost Cauze) - {Audio}

Born and raised in Woodbury New Jersey, in his high school years, Rich Quick was the co-founder of a hip-hop group appropriately named “Rag Tag” because of their diverse and disorderly composition.
In April 2012 Rich released, I'm With The DJ, and while touring for the project and after a show, Rich was approached by Jeff Davis aka Stress the White Boy. Stress and Chuck Treece, a powerhouse production duo referred to as STREECE (who have previously produced for Lil Wayne, The Roots, Gym Class Heroes, Travie McCoy, Tyga, Good Charlotte, Sting & Billy Joel among many others) and after hitting it off they dropped the Sad Songz EP.

The work on Sad Songz captured the attention of multi-Grammy award winning artist, Tim "Timebomb" Armstrong of Rancid & Transplants fame. Armstrong, a longtime friend of Stress, collaborated on a track with STREECE and Rich. The track entitled "Stay True" became part of the Tim Timebomb and Friends project and quickly became a fan favorite.

The diversity and authenticity of Rich Quick's Sad Songz EP has caught the attention of Allhiphop.com, UnsungHipHop.Com, Magnet Magazine, MSN.com, Urb.com, Respect-mag.com, Hiphopdx.com & Philadelphia Weekly and with his release of "Travelin' Man,” from his fourth EP featuring 1/2 of Dilated Peoples & Reef The Lost Cauze and remixed by STREEZE.  Other notable collaborators on Sad Songz include Jakk Frost & Vinnie Paz.

Monday

Moka Only & Ayatollah - "Come Along" - {Official Video}

Shoutout to my homegirl Carrie of Rebel Vibez who put me down with this Emcee from Vancouver called Moka Only, and I'm telling you he got skills. On this particular track you have two of Canada's Underground Heroes joining forces to bring us a dope mixture of HipHop chemistry.  "Come Along" is the first music video from Moka Only & Ayatollah's album "Bridges". Don't forget to support REal HipHop.
