Monday

Raury - "Trap Tears" (Ft. Key!) - {Official Video}

Raury is definitely an artist before his time, going between rappin' & singing and sometimes both at the same time reminds me of a male version of Lauryn Hill.  Normally I don't like Emcees that attempt to sing but( except DMX, Ja Rule, Mos Def, Queen Latifah...just to name a few) , Raury is one of the few artist who can do both.  Correction I think he's a singer that raps....lol either way he's dope.

Saturday

LostPoet & Kincee - "High Speed (Catch Me if U Can)" - {Video}

Boom Bap is probably my favorite genre of HipHop and no one does it better than LostPoet & Kincee.  It's pretty much a lost art form these days, only a few can embrace the craft.  During the "Golden Era" you needed well thought out lyrical content to even but considered and Emcee

Friday

AWKWORD - "Angels" (Ft. Jasiri X, MK Asante & Voli) - {Audio}

Protest music was the origin of HipHop it was the streets way of communicating to the masses the issues of the inner-city.  This joint was executive produced by my dude AWKWORD and produced by Australia's Deepstar The Abyss Dwella.  But when Jasiri X, MK Asante put down some dope lyrics and J. Cole-affiliate Voli melodic vocals that seriously gave this track some juice.

Wednesday

Nomadic Massive - "Duty" - {Official Video}

Okay I was put on to this group a couple weeks ago and I wasn't sure what to make of them.  I mean the last time I've seen this many artist in a HipHop group was Wu-Tang Clan.  So I was a little skeptical, but I must admit these guys and gals are dope as F$!k.  Their sound is breath of fresh air, all members are individually talented and probably could go solo if they wanted.  Check them out below....!!

Tuesday

Avian - "Weight" (Prod. by KVRBON) - {Audio}

Avian is a upcoming Emcee out of New York, in just a few weeks he's droppin' his solo debut LP.  As part of a Caribbean HipHop group (The Stoner Nation CollectiveAvian sharped his lyrical skills.  With such a unique vocals I just had to shine some light on it.

Monday

Tone Liv & DJ Priority - "TriState" (Ft Respect Tha God & Burke The Jurke) - {Video}

This is one of my favorite tracks off their fourth album, "TriState" takes me back to a time when Rap was about Bars not cars. Here is what true NY/East coast HipHop sounds like, No auto-tune required.  This is for the REal HipHop Heads, let's support those REal artist.

Sunday

Quilly - "I Hate You Ni&&as" - {Official Video}

It's been awhile since we 've featured that REal Hardcore HipHop, but most of it is whack. Quilly is one of those dope street Philly rappers who pour their life on wax.  Some folks maybe offended by his words and metaphors, but I love it.  Coming up in the streets of Baltimore, I understand the passion and the pain behind a artist raised in the streets.

Saturday

Dee-1 - "No Car Note" - {Official Video}

For most rappers, image is everything  and an expensive ride is a rights of passage for most, but For Dee-1 that's not the case.  Dee-1 has reached nationwide success after releasing his highly acclaimed “Sallie Mae Back” single. Fans of Dee-1 know that the New Orleans Emcee prides himself on his loyal 98 Honda Accord so it wasn't a surprise for them to hear a song about it. During a time when most rappers fake being rich, it's good to know a few still Keep It Real..!! (R.I.P. O.D.B.)

Friday

International Maverick - ''Scarlet Dreams" - {Official Video}

Chicago Producer/Emcee International Maverick is back with his 2nd visual release this month with a brand new self produced video entitled ''Scarlet Dreams'' shot and directed by Work Nowitzki and Modest Goddess. Mav P is a true testament that being consistent on your grind does pay off.  The type of work ethic most artist don't possess.

Thursday

Little Simz - "Marilyn Monroe" - (Ft. Chuck20 & Remus) {Official Video}

Every now and then we take a look at how much HipHop has grown globally.  The UK underground HipHop  is definitely in their "Golden Era" of HipHop.  Little Simz is just one example of that fact, unfortunately most international Emcees mimic United States mainstream media platforms, which is garbage.  At UnsungHipHop.com our mission is to shine the light on all dope forms of HipHop.

Monday

Martial WAL Umbrella Presents : Pete Powerz - "Jackin' 4 Beats" - {Video}

Now here is a mixtape titled after my life, Pete Powerz does an excellent rendition of 90's HipHop, also known as "The Golden Era".  What Pete did in this mixtape is unheard of in today's so-called rap music. He captures multiple genres of HipHop all on one CD.  This Cd could have been call Method Mixtape because this joint practice many styles.  Only true Wu-Tang fans get what I'm saying.

Sunday

Saturday

S.T.R.A.P - "Point Blank" (Ft. LosP) - {Video}

If there is one Emcee who has Bars for days S.T.R.A.P would be one of those artist.  It's rare to see an artist these days with an obvious  passion for the craft.  Ironically his passion for spittin' that REal HipHop is the same reason he's not world known.  Being authentic pays off in the marathon not the sprint.

Wednesday

Ghostface Killah - "Love Don't Live Here No More" (Luke Cage Soundtrack) (Ft. Kandace Springs) - {Official Video}

Probably the hardest working man in the Wu Tang Clan when it comes to releasing albums. Ghostface Killah has always stayed true to who he is while still revolutionizing his style of rap and always making it relevant with current times.  This is his best work since Supreme Clientele, if you ask me.  Checkout the visuals below featuring my dude Michael K. Williams aka "Omar" from "The Wire".   Even though this is not a new song, it was still dope enough to be featured on the new Luke Cage series Soundtrack on Netflix,  somebody obviously has good taste in HipHop.

Tuesday

Candice Antique - "Nappy" - {Audio}

Even though we are a HipHop focused website, we also like to shine the light on local artist who showcase REal soul music and positive vibes. Oakland mega-multi-talent Candice Antique released her new single "Nappy", written in response to recent controversies surrounding Black women’s hair. The release coincides with her live performance at the Life Is Living Festival in Oakland

Sunday

Consequence - "Countdown" (Ft. Lupe Fiasco & Chris Turner) - {Video}

The Talib Kweli duo with Jean Grae got so much attention we decided to feature a slew of dope colabs your probably never heard of.  Probably one of the dopest "Ghost Writers" in the game, Consequence you may know him from that lame reality show, but trust me his history runs deep in underground HipHop.  He teams up with Lupe Fiasco and Chris Turner for this funky lil track, check'em out below.

Saturday

Talib Kweli - "Uh Oh" (Ft. Jean Grae) - {Official Video}

Just another dope track from two of the most underrated Emcees in HipHop.  Unlike most Talib Kweli is your favorite rappers favorite rapper, his lyrical genius is untouched by most.  Jean Grae eclectic style alone combined with her lyrics of fury will make your top female Emcee quit.

Thursday

Wednesday

King Bliss - "Money Mantra" - {Audio}

King Bliss just dropped his debut single "Money Mantra" off his album, "Knowledge Is (the) New Gangsta".  After listening to his unapologetic lyrics and razor sharp delivery we just had to feature this excellent representation of REal HipHop, not to mention No Auto-tune. We look forward to hearing more from this Toronto native, in the mean time check him out below.

Tuesday

Homeboy Sandman - "Bus (A Rhyme)" - {Official Video}

There are only a few artist who are into HipHop for the love of it not the fame.  Homeboy Sandman is one of those Emcees, while he does make a satisfying living in HipHop, he doesn't seek the major limelight.  He's contempt with being in control over his career and life making his own schedule.  Now that's what you call being a Boss.  Support REal HipHop, it always last the test of time.

Monday

Devine Carama - "The Lost Jewels Volume 1 (2004-2014)" LP - {Audio}

Devine Carama, is probably one of my top 5 underground HipHop artist.  We have been featuring him for years on this site because he constantly put out dope and relevant music.  Even when he took off a year from HipHop to run his non-profit foundation he still came back with a vengeance.  Make sure you checkout his catalog, he's the truth.

Sunday
