Ab-Soul - "Ab-Soul's Outro" (from Kendrick Lamar's Section 80 Mixtape) - {Audio}

Ab-Soul is another Emcee part of that "Black Hippie" along with Kendrick Lamar and Schoolboy Q who are the lead Emcees at Top Dog Entertainment/Interscope.  This is one of my favorite songs by Ab-Soul, not only is he showing off his lyrical skills but he's also delivering a powerful message.  I'm sure most people will not be able to figure out what that is.  Listen to the track below and tell us what you think.

The Truth About Christmas - {Video}

                                  Now I hate to spoil everyone's Christmas Holiday but I like to add a little bit of truth to the    Christmas spirit. This Holiday while you are spending your last and charging presents you can't afford. Ask yourself,....why? What is the real reason I have to buy these gifts during this time of year? Reality is, no one really benefits from the holiday season except big corporations. Now I'm not saying I don't enjoy spending time with my relatives during the holidays. Since most people are off during this time. But I think there are better ways to spend your time with family members other than buying them meaningless gifts because they (Corporations, Commercials, etc...) said so, because it's definitely not in the Bible. Christmas is so far from what's written in the Bible it's ridiculous. Yet every year due to the brain washing, commercials, and trying to keep up with the Jones. Most of us get sucked into to the Capitalistic Holiday. Why? Truth is most of us are followers we tend to do things because others do them. Most people are afraid to go against the system. We do anything just to fit in...wow and we call ourselves intelligent life...hmmmm I wonder? Don't take my        word for it do your own research Saturnalia which is a Pagan Holiday what we call Christmas today. Find out how Christians made a deal with the Pagans for this day....peace.

Ras Kass - "How To Kill God" (Prod by Apollo Brown) - {Official Video}

Director Jay Brown help bring the lyrics of "How To Kill God" alive, it captures some of the fallen bastions of America.  Ras Kass spits brutal bars that harken back to "Nature of the Threat" from his original classic "Soul On Ice."

Meanwhile Apollo Brown delivers soul stirring boom bap at it's best for Ras to lay question after question, and bar after bar of articulate insight into historical facts too often ignored. Don't let the title fool you, it's not Ras & Apollo killing God, it's them exposing the hypocrites standing behind empty dogma.

Ka - "Peace Akhi" - {Official Video}

Ka's visuals for "Peace Akhi" off his album The Night’s Gambit gives a unique prospective in HipHop. His lyrical skills and messages can't be touched by most Emcees they way he mixes spoken work with rap is brilliant.  In other words this guy is a beast , it's a shame artist don't get paid on how much talent they have.  There wouldn't be many rappers in the game, your favorite rapper probably would be working at Wal-Mart.  Check out the video below and tell us what you think.

David Banner Talks About White Supremacy With Sway in the Morning - {Video}

I must say David Banner has evolved into a conscious lyrical beast. I wasn't originally a fan but that has changed, since his return to HipHop.  David Banner is now one of my top 15 artist of all time, I believe if you ain't talkin' about something of substance, you're garbage.  Don't take my word for it, sit back and watch Sway and David Banner talk about their ideologies for uplifting the black community.

Homeboy Sandman - "Stroll" - {Official Video}

Homeboy Sandman, was raised in Queens NY. Academic stints in New Hampshire, Philadelphia, London and Long Island. One semester short on two different graduate degrees. A couple of years of NYC Public School teaching thrown in there in between. 9th and 10th grades. Some bartending too, at the legendary Lennox Lounge in Harlem. That's where Shaft used to drink.

December 2006 he decides to cut all that miscellaneous nonsense and follow his passion. His first album came the following year.

Before signing to Stones Throw he'd already been chosen as a coach on MTV's MADE, featured in preeminent print hip-hop rags XXL and The Source, and perpetually championed on foremost online hubs. And since the signing, his accolades have extended beyond the realm of the hip hop specific. Rolling Stone has noted his "skill for wordplay that keeps you hooked." NPR has highlighted his "artful, hysterical, disobedient HipHop that you can dance to." Pitchfork has straightforwardly dubbed him "one of the best pure lyricists around."  This is why we need to support real artist they are the foundation of HipHop.

Phacade - "Hand Em Up" - {Official Video}

Displaying PHSE.jpg
"Hand Em Up" is PhaƧade's call to revolution. Not a political revolution however, but a revolution of the mind. This kind of HipHop feels more like a PR complain for black power and cultural equality done in non Public Enemy kind of way, courtesy of MagicXBeats. I'm all for pushing positive images to help break down the stereotypes and white supremacy.
