Chris Rivers (aka Baby Pun) - "How Many Mc's" (Ft. Termanology) - {Audio}

Chris Rivers and Termanology are back at it again, lacin' another 90's track with their lyrical bravado.  Chris has definitely been making moves lately pretty much spitting on all the dope tracks of the Golden Era.  Considering the fact his dad is Big Pun, Chris had to work harder than his dad to be noticed.  Let's keep REal HipHop alive...support Emcees like Chris Rivers.

Wednesday

Bones The Beat Head - "The Repertory - Volume Two" - {Audio}

This is the follow-up release to Bones The Beat Head’s debut instrumental album"The Repertory - Volume One", which was released back in August 2012 with support from both Millennium Jazz Music and Dusted Wax Kingdom

This second volume is held in the same tradition as the previous volume and once again showcases a good half an hours worth of sample-based, Jazz-flavoured instrumental HipHop.

Hopsin Stops By Sway In The Morning After Coming Out Of Retirement....Again..!! - {Video}

Hopsin may have retired, once or twice, but know he’s back again and has no plans to quit anytime soon.  He stops by Sway in the Morning to chop it up about his new LP, his alter-ego, and his lyrical presence on the Mic.  Probably one of the most misunderstand artist in the game, but with his mad penmanship not too many Emcees would step to him.

5ive - "Faking" - {Audio}

It's not too often you have an artist who comes along with all the right attributes for success.  Boston native Mela Nick HalfKenny aka 5ive has just released her latest single "Faking". This joint is pretty dope, it's obvious she has a great production team around her. Spending most of her adult years in the DMV she has been sharpening her writing & vocal skills in the underground circuit.  I must admit I wasn't originally a fan until I heard her voice, then I was totally hooked.  Checkout her single below and tell us what do y'all think.

Saturday

Oddisee & Good Company - "The Goings On" (Live Performance) - {Video}

Oddisee is probably one of my top 10 HipHop artist of all time.  His creativity is not only rare but a breath of fresh air during a time when most music sounds the same he pushes the boundaries to be different.

"Tangible Dream"
"I live in a gentrified part of Brooklyn, I eat out several times a week, I travel the world sampling the best that cities across the globe have to offer. Do I live in a penthouse loft? Am I dinning in five stars restaurants? Can you only find me in the most exclusive areas? Do I own a jet? The answer to all the above is most certainly no. I’m just a regular man from Prince George’s county, Maryland that figured shit out.
I discovered that I can make a career in an arena dominated by artists that sell false dreams. I realized that although the masses may not know of my body of work, it doesn’t take the whole world to have the world I want. Tangible Dream is a mix-tape dedicated to the deconstruction of our traditional ideas of success & shedding light on the possibility of a sustainable rap life

These rhymes were written in economy class seats, these beats were produced on long bus trips & these songs were recorded in airbnb apartments. All I want to do is make music for a living so that I can live to make music. The only dreams I’m interested in are the ones I can grasp. It just so happens that anything you want bad enough can be obtained. Perhaps the world may never know of my accomplishments but accomplishments they are nonetheless.
" - Oddisee.

Ghostface Killah Vs. Action Bronson - {Video}

Well if you havn't heard by now Action Bronson just complimented and dissed Ghostface Killah at the same damn time.  I don't know if it was ego or what but he pretty much told ESPN commentators that Ghostface was washed up and not dope any more.  Not too long ago Bronson and Ghost had a sit down about how he wasn't intentionally trying to sound like him.  Wow....Just like Canibus woke up a sleeping giant name LL Cool J, Action Bronson has just awaken the Kraken.

Swerve & SYG - "Don't Judge" - {Official Video}

 One of Swerve & SYG's dopest tracks"Don"t Judge" is off of the Cold Winters & Warm Whiskey 2 LP.  Which is by now a classic LP in HipHop, if you haven't heard it before you need to check it out.

Today is exactly one-year since we released last year’s installment of CWWW and I can honestly say I hope you love this mixtape as much we did making it.  It's hands down our best work yet and really shows our growth over the last year; while still sticking to that honest, authentic feel that fans first fell in love with last year."

Dr Boyce Watkins Breaks Down The Possible Reasons Why 50 Cent Filed For Bankruptcy - {Video}

The rapper 50 Cent is often held to the public as a beacon of hope and financial success, at least on the surface. But some say that things may not be all that their cracked up to be.

This week, the rapper filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in US Bankruptcy Court in Hartford, Connecticut. The alleged mogul reportedly has a the kind of debt that would make the rest of us squeamish, according to The Business Insider.

In court papers filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Hartford, Conn., Mr. Jackson reported assets and debts each in the range of $10 million to $50 million, reports the Wall Street Journal.

This bankruptcy filing occurred right after the rapper was ordered to pay $5 million dollars to a woman who sued him for revealing a sex tape online to millions of people. The woman was the mother of the child conceived with a rival rapper, Rick Ross. Lastonia Leviston says that the release of the tape led to humiliation and mental anguish, which a jury found to be worth millions.

“On top of that,” according to TMZ, “50 lost a court case in which a jury socked him with a $17.2 million judgment over ripping off a headphones design [in 2014]. It’s a breathtaking fall.”

Radio B - "The Baptism" (Prod.Cashby) - {Audio}

 I just love a passionate Emcee, one that is not afraid to pour it all out over the mic, like artist Radio B. The Baptism which was produced by Cashby has a sick melody and compliments Radio's lyrical presence.  Checkout the track below and tell us what you think.

VS - "Dark Of The Moon" - {Video}

Inline image 1
New music from VS, "Dark Of The Moon" which will be featured on his upcoming
mixtape "R.O.M. 2". Developing through the years as a artist Victor learns to appreciate being a fan of the arts.  This has taught him to see through the "typical" & to dig deeper in order to find more creative & innovative ways to express himself in HipHop. Pay close attention this is what true artist development looks like.

Beanie Sigel Talks About Reuniting With Jay Z And Dame Dash - {Video}

The Broad Street Bully aka Beanie Sigel sits down with HHS1987's EMoney for an exclusive interview after his The Return Of The Mack concert. Beanie Sigel talks about being back on stage, and the success of his sold out show.  Beanie also talks about performing along aside Jay Z for his B Sides Tidal two day concert.  It's good to see they have sorted out their differences and performing together again.  HipHop needed this reunion, Dame Dash might be unbearable to work with at times but without him HipHop wouldn't be what it is today.

Wednesday

Joe Budden - "Momma Said" - {Audio}

undefined

 Joe Budden is cleaning out his closet on this mixtape, A Loose Quarter.  I have to admit I didn't like Joe when he came out as a mainstream artist.  But now that he is underground and signed to Shady Records, wow...I didn't know he was so lyrical.  This is why we need to embrace your local artist by letting them be original and not allowing "The Industry" to choose your favorite rapper.  Checkout the track below, it almost lost me with the "Auto-tune" like chorus but it's dope...I just hate auto-tune...lol.

Sunday

Devine Carama “Verbal Shootouts” (Nas Tribute) - {Audio}

This is the 3rd leak (The Message & Soul Dreams) off my upcoming Nas tribute project It Was Rewritten, entitled “Verbal Shootouts”.
“Nas’ “Shoototus” was really vivid and story telling at it’s best. His approach was breaking down situations that led to actual shootouts.. My version is a verbal shootout between God & I.. Like, I’m nice with it lyrically, but God is like “yeah but I gave you that gift so what you going to do with it!” A conversation I have with Him all the time before I put the pen to that pad. Mello & I still tried to stay true to the original though.” - Devine Carama

Sunday

Murs & Fashawn - "64 Impala" - {Video}
