Bas - "Live For" - {Official Video}

Bas is one of those artists that have superstar talents but hovers just below the mainstream success.  If he remains consistent eventually his barsmanship will be appreciated on a larger scale.  Bas one of my favorite artists because his bars makes you re-listen over and over just to get a full understanding.

Bas doesn't act a fool in order to get likes or increase sales he allows his music to speak for itself.  Artist of his caliber will last the test of time, just think Black Thought (lead vocalist for The Roots) has been in the game for a while.  But it wasn't until recent years the masses were able to appreciate he can do on the Mic as a stand-alone artist.

Sunday

CyHi The Prynce - "Legend" - {Official Video}

Now I know most rappers brag and boast about being the greatest and using exaggerated lyrics to big themselves up but, CyHi The Prynce doesn't have to lie about his legacy.  Unlike Jay-Z who has a personal catalog, most rappers would kill for.  CyHi's is known for writing dope content for numerous famous Emcees who mostly will remain nameless.

But just to give you an idea of the caliber of stars he writes for, Kanye is one of those elites who utilize the talents of Prynce.  It would be nice if he kept them for himself but the business of HipHop isn't that simple.  He's probably one of the few underground millionaires in HipHop, which is cool because these days it's best to be lowkey with your wealth.

Saturday

Sean Price - "Peep My Words & Monkey Barz" - {Official Video}

Just couple tracks down memory lane to remind the youngsters what REal HipHop sound like.  Sean Price, another HipHop legend gone before his time will always be in my top five dopest lyricist.  From all the fallen soldiers in HipHop Sean P. is by far the one that hits close to my heart.  This could have been my brethren in life and in business I will see you in the afterlife bro peace.

Thursday

The Roots - Tiny Desk Concert - (Ft. Bilal) - {Video}

When these mega artist grace the stage you are definitely in for a show of a lifetime.  The Roots is HipHop grown up, they bring the Jazz and the Poetry into one arena with style and class.  Bilal is pretty much our underground version of Prince, his voice makes any song legendary and he can perform any genre of music.  This matchup was bound to happen when the earth and stars are aligned with one another.  That being said check out the video below if you are a REal fan of HipHop/Soul music.

Wednesday

Madvillain - "All CAPS" - {Official Video}

Hands down MF Doom aka Madvillain is definitely one of my top 5 Emcees of all time.  It's a shame it took a tragedy to create the persona we see today but as a fan that's one hell of a comeback.  From being an okay rapper to one of the dopest underground Emcees is one hell of a "Rags to Riches" story.  I wished he would have created more videos for his dope azz classics.  But thanks to his massive following we have at least a few visuals to gaze upon.

Saturday

ONYX & Wu-Tang Clan - "The Worst" - {Official Video}

I just had to show some love to two of the most iconic HipHop groups that basically ruled the 90's.  Once upon a time, HipHop artists were allowed to be Alpha men on mainstream media those days are gone.  ONYX was a force to be reckoned with along with Wu-Tang Clan.

These days you notice there are hardly any more HipHop groups especially ones that display masculinity on camera in the mainstream.  I'm not against people being whomever they want to be I'm just saying black men being soft or feminine is being forced into our veins like crack.  I'm sure the men who can relate will understand, in the meantime, let us take a look back when HipHop was great!!

Tuesday

9th Wonder & Buckshot - "Shorty Left" (Ft. Rapsody) - {Official Video}

Watching this three together on one track takes me back to the Golden Era of HipHop.  Only the REal HipHop Heads will be able to appreciate this collaboration by 9th Wonder, Buckshot, and Rapsody on this "Shorty Left" joint off "The Solution" LP.
Directed by Kenneth Price
I wish I could have been at New York Tri-State concert with 9th Wonder & Buckshot, Murs and my guy Sean Price.

Saturday

The Roots And Jimmy Fallon Perform "We Can't Stop" (Acapella) - {Video}

Jimmy Fallon, Miley Cyrus, and The Roots perform an a Capella version of "We Can't Stop."  I know I'm late with this post so it's a good thing time is not an ending factor for our site.  HipHop is probably the most influential genre of music ever created by man.  Artist from every genre of music borrows and are influence by HipHop in one way or another this is just proof how versatile HipHop truly is.

Tuesday

A Tribe Called Quest - "The Space Program" - {Official Video}

Believe it or not, it's been 2 years since Phife Dawg has transcended.  And ever since the ora of the group has not been the same.  This hurts me to the core because I grew up on A Tribe Called Quest.  They along with De La Soul were the only groups speaking for Nerd/Thugs like myself who didn't quite fit into the status quo.  Sad to see this chapter end as a group but I'm sure individually they will still strive.  And oh yeah this song is dope R.I.Power Phife.

Monday

Isaiah Rashad - "Ronnie Drake" (Ft. SZA) - {Official Video}

Top Dog Entertainment’s Isaiah Rashad and SZA join forces for “Ronnie Drake”.   A few years back, the Chattanooga, Tennessee native dropped the audio for infectiously smooth “Ronnie Drake” featuring the New Jersey raised singing sensation and we get the visual accompaniment to The Antydote produced track.  Even though he's not one of the most popular TE artists next to Kendrick Lamar he is my favorite.  His style is so gritty and raw reminds me of a young O.D.B.

Sunday

Fountain Of Youth (Chin x Peezy) - "The Follow-Up" - {Official Video}

Fountain of Youth is Boston based HipHop group composed of Jeffrey iLL, Phacade, Peezy, and Chin. They have gained a following with their singles "HipHop Ambien" (34K views) and Chin x Peezy's "The Follow Up" (17K views). One of their classic releases "The Follow-Up" is still a fan favorite.

Set in the back allies and hoods, 'The Follow-Up' provides a different perspective into the realm of Fountain of Youth. Wordplay, along with dope rhymes and cinematic videography provide the tone needed to remind rappers abroad to feel their presence and respect their craft.
