De La Soul - "Whoodeeni" (Ft. 2 Chains) - {Official Video}

One of my favorite Golden Era groups just dropped visuals to their single "Whoodeeni" and its pretty dope.  De La Soul was one of the first original sounding and looking groups during that time.  I've been a fan since day 1, it's a shame none of their classic music is on iTunes.  I feel Tommy Boy Records is doing something shady NOT allowing profit off their catalog.  I will look more into this issue but in the meantime check out the dope visuals below.

Wednesday

Talib Kweli & Styles P. - "Nine Point Five" )Ft. Sheek Louch, Jadakiss, NIKO IS) - {Official Video}

Besides the Wu-Tang Clan there very little music in HipHop featuring a bunch of dope Emcees.  Today we feature a powerhouse of lyrical beast from the underground. You don't see it like this anymore, the creation of The Album has lost its value it seems a hot single is all you need to become famous.  The legends I rock with still create bodies of work (album) and this right here is just testament to that.

Saturday

Sean Price - "Apartheid" (Ft. Buckshot & Steele of Smif N Wessun) - {Official Music Video}

They say after an artist has passed away their music lives on forever.  I feel this notion at times but I'm sure Sean Price's family misses him still.  I'm not sure if he has a catalog like Prince or Michael Jackson that hasn't been released to the public but it would be nice if he did.  We need more REal voices in HipHop, ones that don't care about being "politically correct".  Needless to say, these type of artist are a dying breed in our culture, we will continue to promote Sean P's body of work in our fight to keep authentic Rap music alive.

Friday

Wu-Tang Clan - "Protect Ya Neck" - {Cartoon MashUp}

Ok I know I'm late on this one but I gotta give it to Adam over @ hiddentracktv.com he did his thing on this joint. In my hay-day, I used to do something similar to what he does except I created my own cartoons. Only a few people who are familiar with editing will really appreciate the time and patience it takes to do something like this. I'm sure The Rza would have preferred him to use Anime instead, me too but it's still dope.

Tuesday

ILLClinton - "ILLfluential" - {Official Video}

Atlanta HipHop is now the new Mecca of HipHop and these underground phenoms are just a couple out of the few holding down REal HipHop. The exceptional new duo ILLClinton consists of two brothers from the Northside: Blake Belair (the producer) and Brennan P (the artist/producer).  ILL brings you an inside look to the recording of "ILLfluential" off of their classic mixtape, ILLANTA.

Saturday

Homeboy Sandman - "Mine All Mine" - {Official Video}

One of my favorite underground artists, Homeboy Sandman goes out of his way to make sure all of his music sound different from the last.  Now that's what you call a true artist to the core.  This is one of his earlier songs that didn't get much mainstream action but it's still dope.  Lyrically Homeboy Sandman would eat most Emcees alive and still not be full.

Friday

International Maverick - "Cubs Fitted" - {Official Video}

International Maverick(Emcee/producer) is back again with visual after releasing #4PMInChicago which was received.   Well, he returns this time with self-produced gem entitled ''Cubs fitted'' shot by Work Nowitzki and fellow Chicago Emcee none other than Philmore Greene.

Madd Skillz - "In A Minute" - {Official Video}

I love when legendary HipHop artist reinvents themselves but still staying true to their core fans.  Madd Skillz is another famous ghostwriter in the game who probably would have had a lot more billboard hits if he didn't sell them.  But hey like I've said before HipHop is a fickled beast sometimes your words are meant for someone else to say.  I didn't think I would like this but he made me smile and reminisce about my youth.

Thursday

Busta Rhymes - "Girlfriend" (Ft. Vybz Kartel & Tory Lanez) - {Official Video}

I bring Y'all today another underrated legend in HipHop, lyrically one of the most talented.  Busta Rhymes has been consistent most of his career with mega-hits and memorable features.  In fact, most of the material I love don't even have any visuals to back them up.  I wish I knew who was in charge of this dept because I feel they dropped the ball of a slew of album bangers.  That being said I love when Busta shows his versatility adapting to any genre of music.
