Wednesday

Lil Dicky - "Professional Rapper" (Ft. Snoop Dogg) - {Official Video}

Now I know I'm a little late with this Lil Dicky post but hey, I must admit this Jewish kid got skills.  There aren't too many non-black Emcees who catch my attention, I mean I know they exist but a lot of rappers follow the norm which is not my cup of tea.  With the presence of Snoop Dogg, it gives him an extra stamp of approval because I know Snoop don't just feature on just anybody's track.

Saturday

J. Cole - "NBA All-Star Show" - {Live Performance}

J Cole definitely one of my favorite Emcees of his era, watching his growth as a lyricist and a man was amazing.  I remember he was in Dave Chappelle "Block Party" not as a performer but in the audience.
Later I learn Talib Kweli & Mos Def were two of his mentos before J Cole was a household name.
His music will last the test of time, being that he writes his own lyrics, make his own beats, and produce other artists.  He will get "The Bag" one way or another, what is live performance below and tell us what you think.

Friday

WestSideGunn - "Mr. T" (Prod by Apollo Brown) - {Official Video}

It was brought to my attention that we only feature so-called "conscious" rappers.  Not true we look at skill first content second and then the beat.  As a matter of fact, I love the genre of hardcore street rap the most.                                                                                                                                                                      WestSideGunn is one of the few street dudes who does it right.  But I'm sorry if you claiming to be "Gangsta" but wearing pink poker-dot leggins, Hell No!

Apollo Brown gets overshadowed a lot from that other major artist in Detriot, his beats are even better than Mr. Kardashian's.   Apollo is great at picking out the dopest lyricist to work with.  WestSideGunn is just another testament to that, check'em out below.

Thursday

T.I. - "F**k Nigga" (Floyd Mayweather Diss) - {Audio}

Ok, let the record show this is the first time ever we have feature King of South lyricist T.I.  It's never happened before simply because I didn't like his music earlier in his career. Tip got my attention the album he made before going to prison "Paper Trail".  Fast forward I was more impress by T.I. the entrepreneur over T.I. the rapper.

Well, those days are gone I can relate more to his music now that his music has matured to my liking.  This one hits home for me truly HipHop in its purest form.  First Jay - Z now Tip what other mainstream artists will transcend into the "Conscious" Rap community?

Saturday

Rock (Heltah Skeltah) - "Shine Down" (Ft. Kofi Black) - {Official Video}

I'm glad to see Rock is back on the grind for lyrical supremacy, ever since he lost his other half (Sean Price) he has regained new energy for HipHop.  Hands down one of the dopest baritone voices in the game, not too long ago he was on a bit of a hiatus from the spotlight.  I look forward to hearing what other projects he will be working on, but in the meantime check him out below his skills are still flawless as ever.

Friday

Jay Rock - "Vice City" (Ft. Black Hippy) - {Official Video}

Now I know Black Hippy may not be Unsung with all their global success, but Jay Rock is.  Not to mention I was featuring Kendrick and the Gang on UnsungHipHop before he blew the F#@! up.  I'd like to say we had something to do with that but nahh. Dr. Dre has connections...lol.  Either way, this is a dope track I like to listen to, I hope you feel the same.

Wednesday

Styles P - "Never Fight An African" - {Official Video}

Styles P is one of the great legends in HipHop. (Random Fact: Before the group, The Lox signed with Puffy they were called The WarLox.)  Styles P is known for spitting street knowledge about life in the hood and he is proof veteran HipHop artist can strive without negative lyrics or signed to a major label.

I must admit I wasn't a fan earlier in his career I couldn't relate to his lyrics and I was on my De La Soul tip.  But now I'm a true fan of his music and his movement of living a vegan lifestyle.  It's amazing where human growth can take us with time and maturity.  Check out the visuals to his latest single below and tell us what you think.
