Rapsody Freestyles In The Backroom On BET 106 & Park



 I'm finally glad to see BET is starting to show some respect to the Real Emcees of HipHop its been a long time coming. With the one and only 9th Wonder on the ones and twos, Jamla records signee Rapsody dropped in to The Backroom at 106 & Park for a dope freestyle last night (10th October).
As ever, the North Carolina native came equipped with intricate and dense rhymes, sketching her world for us in just over two minutes. There were many highlights, including shout-outs to Lupe (the message: “don’t retire”) and the late Chris Lighty, but it was two of her last lines that wowed me most, as they described her art perfectly. Closing her freestyle she rapped, “Like rubix cubes they’re confused at how I did it, lyrically crazy on the verge of being committed”, and I’m left for dead.
