The clip sees the 24-year-old reunite with director and ex-flat-mate Adam Powell, after the pair’s last collaboration – ‘Better Man Than He’, filmed live within an MRI scanner – picked up over half a million hits, and showed viewers precisely what goes inside a musician’s head.
A darker and more potent follow-up, ‘Bodies’ is accompanied by a short film shot across various locations in Powell’s new home of Los Angeles. The mysterious clip – “is this Hell? Who is driving the car, and where to?” – is set against field recordings the pair made whilst interviewing strangers across the city. The result is a stark accompaniment to the lyrical, Noah’s Ark imagery of ‘Bodies’.
The ‘Bodies’ EP follows Sivu’s sell-out show at London’s Waiting Room, radio support across the likes of Radio 1, 6Music and XFM, as well as live dates at Bushstock Festival and in support of Laura Mvula. Sivu plays a host of festivals this summer, whilst continuing work on his debut album.
