Monday

Devine Carama - "What's Love" (Ft. Fredd C.) - {Audio}

The other day Devine Carama released a second offering off his upcoming collaboration project with Lexington producer Jet Taylor entitled, "The Glorious BIG". "What's Love" featuring Lexington, KY wordsmith Fredd C! The track which features vocals from an old Luis Farrakhan speech, is the follow up to the project's first single "Only We Know".  Now this is why HipHop was created, to inspire unity, vent about injustices, collaborations, and use as a alternative style of spreading knowledge.  The party record "Rappers Delight" wasn't the true essence of underground HipHop.  It was watered down to make rap music palatable for white American mainstream radio stations.

Sunday

Ikes - "Clarity" (Ft. Hayley Cassidy) - {Audio}

London rapper Ikes is back with brand-new single “Clarity”, featuring production from oneBlackRussian and additional production and mixing from Edward Nixon, the chief engineer for Grammy Award-winning production team J.U.S.T.I.C.E League (Drake, Chris Brown, Nas).

"Clarity" is taken from EP OutsideIn – described as a rebirth of sorts – and sees Ikes explore a different sound to his previous material. The same personal, impassioned lyrics and storytelling abilities that have been integral to his early success are back once again and this time are supported by a more accessible sound brought to the forefront by singer-songwriter Hayley Cassidy, who lends her vocals to the track's melodic hook.

Friday

Charli' Dreamer - "Going In For Life" - {Audio}

I don't know much about this artist Charli' Dreamer, but what I do know is that he can spit.  The verse was so dope to my staff and I we just had to share it our loyal fans.  I have a feeling this kid is about to do some major things in HipHop.  Just sit back and enjoy the lyrical bars, until then we will do more research to find out more about this up and coming artist.

Thursday

Chisom - "Soke (Remix)" (Ft. Burna Boy) - {Audio}

Fresh off the release of his debut EP The Jordan Year, and the RESPECT Mag premiere and Chuck D cosign of lead single "Africa Get Money", Detroit-based rapper/producer Chisom is back to usher in Spring '16.

This time, he delivers a suave remix to "Soke" by Nigerian Dancehall star Burna Boy. On the "Soke" Remix, 23-year-old Chisom and Burna Boy trade bars in three languages, as Chisom puts his unique spin on the hit record, switching effortlessly between rapping and singing in Igbo and English (complementing Burna Boy's Yoruba). Normally I'm again auto-tune, but in this single it was not so bad....lol. I have a soft spot for African music...

Wednesday

PushTheArts - "Ghost" - {Audio}

Straight out of North Carolina we have PushTheArts, four dope artist who came together to create the masterpiece "GHOST". With debut appearances from Spit and J.Hart, they opened the song up NC artist Rodd.D who is just coming off his recent release 'Hangar31" and it's finished off by his partner in crime, just(formly known as justKeith).

This isn't a track that we would call "radio-worthy" but you can't deny the great quality within this record. From the transitions of each verse to the beautiful jazzy feel, this track exemplifies what REal HipHop is all about.

Saturday

L'Orange & Jeremiah Jae - "Ice Obsidian" - {Official Video}

Enter those bloody alleys blocked off with yellow tape and chalk outlines. Secret backrooms riddled with sly crooks and blunt smoke. Slink into the underworld, the seedy shadowland owned by Jeremiah Jae and L'Orange on their noir-hop opus, "The Night Took Us In Like Family."

Consider it the alchemy of Madvillain and "The Maltese Falcon": a five-part fable of tangled crimes, narrow escapes, and raining lead. The door busts open with "A Conspicuous Man." L'Orange's carefully severed cinematic clips hold the frame steady. The Windy City-raised Jae muscles the narrative forward-the hitman creeping.  I'm glad to see HipHop is going back to it's roots.

Friday
