From my home state representing South Maryland-hailing female rapper Kelow enlists DC Spitter and Blu-Roc affiliate Tabi Bonney as a special guest on “Hit My Pager”, a grimy new track from her forthcoming Stixxx-n-Stonez EP, this joint never gets old to me.
The young Baby Dinosaurs & Co affiliate, who has opened for Grand Hustle star Iggy Azalea
in the past, trades punchlines with the more experienced Bonney over
BDCO producer MXXM’s snarling, bass-driven beat, and comes off
surprisingly well from the encounter, in which she raps about weed,
women and pagers with all the venom of an unhinged ’90s child. Whilst
the two come together for the hook, there’s an attuned aggression about
the track which makes it well worth a listen.
With her Thugasaurus album also on its way soon, Kelow is
definitely one to watch out for we definitely need some real female Emcees in the game. Just listen to the track below and you will see what I mean, the girl goes hard...!!!
