How To Keep Black People Down 101
When I found this clip I was almost floored...wow. The truth sure hurts if we choose to recognize it or not we must face it eventually. Slavery has come and gone but the residual affects still exist. Nowadays we are our own worst enemy....WAKE UP BLACK PEOPLE WAKE UP..!!!! I heard someone say if you want to hide something from a black man put it in a book because you know those Niggers don't read.
Murs - When Did HipHop Become Apart Of Your Life?
Murs is cerebral and complex. The term "real" gets thrown around a lot but Murs is as real as it gets. We sat down with him and he talked about what shaped him in becoming an MC. He covers everything from the impact of Eazy-E and LL Cool J to growing up in a Crip neighborhood to Oreo cookies. He even shares that he was laughed at the first time he wrote a rhyme. I like Murs style he is a "Real" Emcee to me because he rhyme about real subjects. You have to just talk about the street life in order to rhyme about real situations. Tell me what you think?
Charlamagne - Breaks Down Jay-Z vs Lil Wayne
First allow me to say I have not bought neither one of these guys Cds they are generally not my type of Emcees. That being said I do think that Jay-Z is a better lyrical Emcee than Lil Wayne. They both found their niche in HipHop and the have learned to capitalize on it. I'm not a fan of neither, I gravitate to the more conscience educational type HipHop like Common, Mos Def, or Immortal Technique. Not saying I don't listen to other forms of HipHop but that is mostly what I listen to. I love my street HipHop like DMX, ONYX, or Wu Tang Clan. I guess it all depends on you personal taste. Who is your favorite HipHop artist? Why?
Don Cornelius - Dead at 75 (Self-Inflicted Wounds?)
I don't know what to say about this story exactly but it doesn't sound right to me. Older man younger woman older man ends of dead this sounds too familiar. I could be wrong but I still say Gary Colemans wife has something to do with his death. You guys tell me what you think?
Jump Off UK - What Is "Urban" Music?
This is a debate we need to have here in the states because I'm still trying understand what is Neo-Soul? But I will say this Dj Snips has definitely been doing his homework. A lot of times in order to sell a specific genre of music the media normally controlled by the corporations change names to make that specific culture or race feel comfortable about buying their product. It's a marketing strategy used by many businesses, like the word "Homemade". How can it be homemade if it's mass produced in a warehouse. I always thought Urban black music also because you rarely see urban music on Cd's performed by other races mentioning urban. What do you think?
