http://i1.sndcdn.com/artworks-000046238213-kksotc-original.jpg
 Probably one of Marco Polo dopest tracks off his Newport Authority 2 LP, which ended up being a remix for "Stand Up" off the brand new Adrian Younge presents The Delfonics project (who am I big fan of, y'all should check my man's resume out)Tragedy was originally gonna lay down one verse on some freestyle sh*@!, but he ended up writing instead.

Sunday

Dead Prez - "The Beauty Within" - {Official Video}

This is probably one of the most influential songs you will Never hear on the radio. (Besides the copyright infringement issues) The message in this song is much needed in the black community.  We all need to learn to appreciate our own beauty instead of idolizing others.  Dead Prez has always been on point with this type of "Message" HipHop.  Make sure you support REal HipHop, so we can take it back to an era before The Sugar Hill Gang brought it to the mainstream.

Saturday

Murs - "The Pain Is Gone" (Prod. Apollo Brown) - {Audio}

Everything on this MMG “Mandala Compilation” LP Vol. 2 is dope and gives you that REal HipHop vibe.  Murs brings it home on this joint, reminiscent of his stellar work with 9th Wonder and this awesomely produced Apollo Brown track its going to be a classic.

Friday

NO PANTY (Bodega Bamz, Nitty Scott & Joell Ortiz) - "Hola" - {Video}

It's always dope when Emcees come together to form a dope conglomerate of greatness.  This is like the HipHop version of Lucy Pearl, Joel Ortiz brings that gritty underground bravado, Bodega brings that pretty boy thug sh#! and Nitty is that sweet but spicy sauce that brings the whole thing together.  If you haven't cop this LP yet you missing out.

Thursday

R.A. The Rugged Man - "Media Midgets" - {Official Video}

R.A. The Rugged Man is the perfect example of an Unsung HipHop artist.  Back in the 90"s R.A. was on the rise before he started making executive enemies and choosing Not to "Playball".  It's been over 20 years and R.A. is still known as the most lyrical rapper in the Underground.  Before Marshall Mathers, Macklemore, and Action Bronson, there was R.A. The Rugged man.

Wednesday

DJ E Holla - "Understand" (Ft.J57, Hi-Q & Tenacity) - {Audio}

When DJ E Holla of the Brown Bag AllStars is droped compilation entitled “Ice Cup Music” I knew REal HipHip was still alive. Here is one of my favorite tracks featuring J57, Hi-Q and Tenacity.  There are so many bars on this joint it's like 5 songs in one.

Tuesday

ILLClinton (Brennan) - "The ILL Sessions" (Prod. J Dilla) - {Audio}

https://mail-attachment.googleusercontent.com/attachment/u/0/?ui=2&ik=1aa12ee701&view=att&th=13cf53744ab33fc7&attid=0.2&disp=inline&realattid=f_hddsszfi1&safe=1&zw&saduie=AG9B_P_JPVgnkkBoXSY39QQQ_Qt_&sadet=1363635411774&sads=Zw-gLsHKSFJLyt1ClT3a2SNAgl8
HipHop is alive and well in the South despite the garbage they play on the radio.  This new Atlanta HipHop duo ILLClinton, emerged onto the radar in 2012 and haven't slowed down for one second. ILLClinton consist of two brothers Brennan the charismatic lyrical Emcee and Blake Belair the group's music producer, they blend a classic HipHop feel with the contemporary vibe of Southern HipHop, it's real fly combination. ILLClinton recently released a feel good freestyle over a classic J.Dilla production called "The ILL Sessions" check it out below.

Sunday

Edo.G - "Done Talking" (Prod. Oh No) - {Official Video}

http://i2.wp.com/www.kevinnottingham.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/ENV5003CD.jpg?resize=550%2C550
 Here’s another dope video off Edo’s LP “Intelligence & Ignorance” one of my favorite joints right here.  This classic is "Boom Bap" inspired no doubt, a definite must have for Real HipHop Heads. REal HipHop is still alive just NOT on your local radio stations.

Saturday

Yash P - "Past My Limit" - {Official Video}

 Yash P. breaks it down with this joint, if I had a nickel every heart I broke I would be rich.  This is one of those songs that make you wonder "Why do men cheat?"  This is the million dollar quest that has no one truly has the answer to.

Friday

Martin $ky - "Elevators" - {Official Video}

 Martin $ky's album Time(less) is known now for being a classic in the underground. While messing around in the studio he decided to record this piece "Elevators" produced by  The Fortified Sounds.  I'm not going to lie I was expecting him to be much bigger than he is now.  I've heard a few of his new joints and it sounds like "The Execs" might have got to him.  But lets hope that I am wrong, in the mean time make sure you go cop his LP Time(less).

Thursday

Sean Price - BBQ Sauce (Feat. Pharoahe Monch) - {Official Video}

 Sean Price teams up with Pharoahe Monch for this classic underground track called "BBQ Sauce" produced by Prod.Evidence off that Mic Tyson LP.  You can listen to my advice and purchase one of the best underground albums of our generation.  Or you can support some auto-tune garbage and "Do whatever the F#@! you wanna do......!!!" -Courtesy of The Hodge Twins

Wednesday

KOTA The Friend - "Customs" - {Official Video}

KOTA is one of  those Emcees that probably won't get notice simply because his style flies under the mainstream radar.  But lyrically he is a beast and would S#@! on your favorite rapper.  To me his style is similar to Q-Tip of A Tribe Called Quest, but not in a bitin' kind of way his demeanor and the delivery of the rhymes he spits.  Sometimes less is more, normally the Emcees with the loudest raps are the most lame with a few exceptions like Chuck D of Public Enemy.

Tuesday

Immortal Technique - "Watch Out" (3rd World Remix) - {Audio}

Immortal Technique, hands down is one of the top 5 dopest Emcees alive above Jay-Z.  He is a true representation of HipHop before it became mainstream via The Sugar Hill Gang rhyming over R&B break-beats with stolen lyrics.  Rap music was our CNN our TVONE reporting on what really went down in our urban cities  We've been getting killed and beaten by a corrupted police system.  No one in music goes in lyrically on the truth better than Immortal Technique.

Saturday

Childish Gambino Covers Tamia "So Into You" - {Video}

It took me a minute to really appreciate Childish Gambino's full entourage of talent but after I watch his hit series "Atlanta", there was no denying his talent.  This must be what it looks like to be a child prodigy, I mean this guy can rap, sing, act, direct, write and produce.  Gambino does a dope little rendition of Tamia's "So Into You", check him out below.

Friday

Quelle Chris - "We Eat It" (Ft. Cavalier) - {Official Video}

A few years ago Quelle Chris signed to a multi-project deal with Mello Music Group.   As Quelle prepares his debut proper for later this year, the prolific producer/emcee (who is most famous for his work with Danny Brown, Sean Price, and Roc Marci) decided to put together a new project with some of his peoples: Cavalier, Fresh Daily, Tanya Morgan, Denmark, DJ GroWeyez, and more. The result is 2Dirt4TV Ep. 2: "Niggas Is Men", a 13 track album dropping digitally March 19th.
After the first School Daze inspired single LONG TOKES dropped last week, Quelle and company put together a video for the track "We Eat It" featuring Cavalier.  Through a smokey horn sample, Quelle and Cav talk that socially conscious rap about GMOs, Hydrogenated oils, and the poisonous wasteland our daily menu has become.  Quelle Chris not only raps, but produces the track, and edited the video as well.   Enjoy the latest visuals and prepare for "Niggas Is Men" this joint goes hard.

NOMADIC MASSIVE - "Moving Forward" (Ft. Z'Africa Brasil) - {Video}

Nomadic Massive is my favorite international HipHop group.  I mean this group is like the foreign version of Wu-Tang Clan every member in this group are individually talented and can hold their own. But when they come together it's pure magic.  So many styles so many languages and several different genres of music infused with a HipHop core.

Thursday

Bas - "Night Job" (Ft. J. Cole) - {Official Video}

Bas his us with another dope joint featuring his homeboy J.Cole. I hope these guys do an entire LP together this songs they do are always on point.  This is one of my favorite joints I play at night in my truck, dope bass line.  Check them out below and go support REAl HipHop.

Wednesday

Scheme - "Vista Del Mar" - (Dir. Sense Hernanadez) - {Video}

http://www.fakeshoredrive.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Vista-Del-Mar-Cover.jpeg
 Scheme and director Sense Hernandez decided to keep it simple on this track. Vista Del Mar focuses on family and those sacrifices we all have to make it to follow a dream. Scheme wrote and recorded Vista Del Mar with the focus of telling a story that focuses on his grandma who has never seen the ocean. Reminiscing over his family pictures, Scheme tells the stories of other family members who affected his childhood.  Make sure you checkout the video below it's not in English but HipHop is universal and the message still can be felt.

Tuesday

Marco Polo - “Fame For President” (Ft.Lil Fame) - {Audio}

 Taken from Marco Polo's forth LP Newport Authority 2 as Marco states he has recorded so much quality material over the last few years, he just wated to share it all. It couldn't all possibly fit on Port Authority 2; hence Newport Authority 2 came to be" Marco states. "Fame & he first connected on "Smoke" off of the Double Barrel LP. Since then we've been steadily working on music. Here's a track called "Fame for President". He gets my vote!  Ruste Juxx teams up with Shae Money and producer Shae Money coming out of Denver for "Over Here".  It always feels good to post Real Emcees at work, Ruste true validation besides  his lyrics is posing next to Legendary Underground HipHop Master Sean Price (R.I.P.) I know Sean P. would be proud you are reppin' Brownsville correctly.

Friday

Trek Life - "Hometown Foreigner" LP - {Audio}

 Trek Life's album with Duke Westlake "Hometown Foreigner" was a instant classic when it dropped.  The mixtape (playing off the album title Hometown Foreigner) is called "Hometown Heroes" and was originally released only as an actual mixtape.  They released it on limited edition cassette, then Rhettmatic himself promoted the tape at SXSW.  The mixtape features Oddisee and Exile among others, as well as production from Evidence, DJ Babu, Duke Westlake, just to name a few and of course cuts and mixes by DJ Rhettmatic.

Thursday

Statik Selektah “Bird’s Eye View” (Ft. Raekwon, Joey Bada$$ & Black Thought) - Audio Stream

Statik Selektah brings together Wu-Tang, Pro Era and The Roots for his LP "Extended Play" , album released on Showoff Records/Duck Down Music Inc.  Only a DJ with the kind of respect and clout Statik has in HipHop could pull off this move right here.

Wednesday

Ghostface Killah - "Rise of the Black Suits" (Prod. by Apollo Brown) - {Audio}

This version of the album was created by critically-acclaimed, Detroit producer Apollo Brown, and was released as a limited edition cassette. Those tapes were given away along with Issue One of the Twelve Reasons To Die comic book, for free with the purchase of the CD or LP of Twelve Reasons To Die at some participating stores.  Now that's old school for your a$$, I always said grassroots marketing is the best way to go.
