Macklemore Vs. Nene Fresco - "White Walls" Controversy - (Video)

Inline image 1
Artists inspire artists #facts. Artists “borrow” from other artists #SadFacts (when credit is not given). But when a major artist steals from a hard-working indie artist with no label budget who pays for all of his studio time and video productions out-of-pocket #NowThatSomeBullShit! Rapper Macklemore is known for his original and cool videos. Interestingly enough, Macklemore credits himself as the writer, director and producer of his latest visual “White Walls” however, after watching the music video “Torero” by Harlem’s indie rapper Nene Fresco, released exactly one year before Macklemore’s “White Walls, some fans feel as though Macklemore should have in fact credited Nene Fresco for his original idea. Of course, art is subjective, but I really don't see the similarities other than the picture above.  Two dudes dress in Spanish inspired gear, two different video concepts, and two different messages in the rhymes.  But you be the judge let us know what you think both videos are below.

Papoose Sits Down With Jack Thriller Of ThisIs50.Com And Talks About His Response To Kendrick Lamar "Control" Verse - (Video)

Thisis50 & Young Jack Thriller recently spoke with Papoose for an exclusive interview regarding this whole Kendrick Lamar 'Control' debate!  Papoose talks about why he was upset by Kendrick's track, why he felt New York was disrespected and why he felt the need to respond as harsh as he did.  Now you know we love HipHop beef @UnsungHipHop, but I think the "Gorilla Tactics" Papoose is using has not worked since 50cent dissed Ja Rule.  I'm not going to deny his skill on the Mic but I think he made the Beef personal so he can benefit financially. But hey I'm not mad at him for trying.

Snoop Dogg Performs On The New Arsenio Hall Show - (Video)

Snoop Dogg
The other night was the premiere of the relaunched Arsenio Hall show which brought back a lot of memories for fans of the late night talk show.
And although his interview with Chris Tucker was special in its own right, the seemingly out-of-nowhere appearance of Snoop Dogg along with Warren G, Daz Dillinger and Kurupt  easily took the cake. Introduced as Snoop Dogg (and not Lion) the iconic Long Beach, California MC performed Doggystlye classic ”Who am I (What’s My Name)? The Doggfather would even close the show with “Drop It Like It’s Hot.” 20 years later, Hall still has it.

Meek Mill Responds To Kendrick Lamar's Verse With "Ooh Kill Em" - (Audio)

Meek Mill - Oooo Kill Em
Meek Mill joins the party fashionably late, finally delivering his official response to Kendrick Lamar‘s “Control” verse.
The Philly rapper certainly appears to be gathering as much momentum as possible in the run-up to the release of his upcoming Dream Chasers 3 mixtape, as this response follows up a diss track directed at Cassidy which surfaced two days ago – well he did say Kendrick was next right?
The weapon of choice this time around is a reworked version of Dr. Dre‘s “Forgot About Dre” who ironically is Kendrick’s boss at Aftermath/Interscope. Meek kicks off the freestyle all guns blazing, elaborating on his notion that “I do it for the streets” and Kendrick makes music “for the n***** with the backpacks”.
Heavy references can be found all over this one including TerRio‘s infamous “Ohh Kill Em!”, Kendrick’s gun sound-effect (found on “The Jig Is Up“) as well as Nas vs. Jay-Z and Biggie vs. 2 Pac conflicts amongst others. Surprisingly this response is rather short, at 2:22 in duration, and appears to sway more towards entertainment value.
Take a listen to “Ooh Kill Em” below and let us know what you think.
