Sumit spoke to Young Guru at Fader Fort at SXSW recently.
In this 8 minute interview, Young Guru tells Sumit why he looked up to DJ Jazzy Jeff when he was younger, what makes a good engineer, meeting Jay-Z for the first time and his most memorable Rocafella studio moment, which involved Jay-Z laying down a whole track before a music video finished.

Young Jack Thriller - Freestyles Against Big T

Big T battles Young Jack Thriller, talks about getting shot 4 times, battle rappers not admitting to losing a battle, battling Hollow Da Don and Tsu Surf, new mixtapes. If anybody reminds me of the late great B.I.G. its this guy not just because of his size the they way "eats up" (No Pun Intended) the competition.

Not good news for Outkast fans apparently the two megastars are on different career paths at the moment. So there is not telling when or if we will ever see another Outkast album. He goes into more detail with is interview at GQ Magazine.

GQ: You're a spokesman for Gillette now. How did that partnership come together?

Andre 3000: Gillette is getting into a space where guys are now, where guys are wearing more hair on their faces. If you watch the history of Gillette, they pretty much stayed on the path of the clean-shaven guy. This is the first time in their history, in like 110 years, that they've ever had guys in ads with hair on their faces. It's a changing of the times and it says a lot about Gillette; they're kind of moving with fashion.

GQ: A new 'Kast album!

Andre 3000: There's been a lot of talk on the Internet about an OutKast album and I have to say that as of now, there are no plans for another OutKast album. There's a lot of music on the horizon. I've been living off the excitement of new artists. I've been privileged to have these new artists kind of reach out and grab back and say, "Hey, Andre, we want you on this song." So I've been taking those calls and for the last two years, I've been doing collaborations. So these new artists have kind of been keeping me alive. I've just really been feeding off of that and this year I think I'm planning to do a solo project. I don't know when it will come out, but hopefully it'll come out this year. As far as OutKast, I really don't know if or when that will happen.

Kidz In The Hall - " I Swear" (Video)

Watch the music video for Kidz In The Hall "I Swear" feat. Vic Spencer off their new album 'Occasion'. "REal" HipHop is really coming back with vengeance I love this vibe of the young new kats coming out. To keep "Real" HipHop alive you must support them a Revolution have to be sponsored....real talk!!

DMX - Interview - Disses Drake & Rick Ross

This next Emcee really needs no introduction he is the Man, the Myth, the Legend DMX. He was The artist that help keep Def Jam out of going into Chapter 13 back in 2000. Lyrically most Emcees can't step to him, you can feel the pain and truth in his lyrics. I would support anything he put out because I know its gonna be dope, besides I just know he's going to be calling those whack emcees out. What is your favorite DMX song?

Thursday

Machine Gun Kelly - Interview

The Cleveland rapper sat down and explains why he doesn't want to collaborate with other artists, what projects he has coming up and more. Which is a brave courageous move on his part, it takes big balls to do that. Besides DMX validates this guys skills and if it wasn't for that I would have never checked him out. What up and coming rapper would you stand behind?

Maino - Up Close & Personal Season 3

Maino is a very underrated artist even though he puts up the numbers needed to keep his label satisfied. I really don't know why he hasn't been given any credit for the work he has done since his albums do sell. Maybe the industry feel as though they have enough tough New York rappers. They might be specifically looking for the BackPack rappers...lol

Wednesday

Charlie Murphy - Interview

I love the work that Charlie Murphy does on film but I'm not really into his stand up comedy shows. I've been a fan of his since CB-4 with Chris Rock very funny old school HipHop movie. And of course his sketch comedy with Dave Chappelle was priceless he really did bring Rick James career back to life and made him a household name again. Who is your favorite Charlie Murphy Character?

Da Beatminerz - Interview

DJ Evil Dee and Mr. Walt talk about Pete Rock and Smif-N-Wessun how they really are not credited for all the work they do. Even I wasn't familiar with all the works of these guys until I did some research myself. The internet was one of the Best things that could have happen for HipHop despite all the piracy it's still worth it. If you are stealing downloads YOU are the reason your favorite rapper can't eat. How many Cd's have you stolen?

Tuesday

Pharrell - Gives Kendrick Lamar Props

Pharrell is a animated guy, like myself so I feel his enthusiasm for Kendrick Lamar, he is the truth. I really didn't know he was so young, the content of his rhymes are deep and diverse. He has such a unique approach every track he gives you something different. This is what a real HipHop artist is suppose to sound like while still showing versatility and integrity to his work. I can't think of many young up coming artist that can fuck with him. Can you?

Bobby Brown - Asked to Leave Whitney's Funeral

This is some bullshit, really it is Bobby Brown is not the reason Whitney is dead. Nor do I believe he was the person that "Got" her on drugs either. Yes they both did drugs together but they only blame Bobby because he's known for being a "Bad Guy". With his reputation of infidelity, drug usage, egotistical outburst, numerous baby mothers, etc..I know it's hard not to assume the worst. Whitney has lived most of her life in the limelight and she needed an out. Around Bobby Brown she was able to be herself and not that fake woman Clive Davis created in order to give her a "Crossover" appeal. Do you think Bobby Brown deserves the treatment he's getting from Whitney's fans?

Charlamagne - Beefing With Diddy & Nick

I don't always agree with him but today we are on the same side. He basically saying all the things I have been thinking for years now. Diddy needs to keep writing checks and Nick needs to stick to acting. It's just like when Oprah decided she wanted to sing her own theme song. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. What's your take on celebrities who don't know when to give it up?

Monday

Blast From The Past - The Show (1995)

This is a time when HipHop was true and dear to my heart I mean every other song of the radio was different and had its own flavor. This is when HipHop became a household name in every major city across the country. What was you favorite HipHop group of the 90's?

Friday

Kendrick Lamar - Interview

Another one of the new Kats making is mark in the game for sure coming out of Compton. His first Mixtape was a classic he is one of the reasons I have not lost faith in the younger generation carrying on the True Essence of Real HipHop. Ladies & Gentlemen it is official HipHop Is Not Dead...!!!

Korea - Locking Down All Gamers !!

Now this is a story close to my heart because I'm a gamer but I only play on the weekends. Besides I really don't see how they would be able to monitor something like this. Even if they were able to, this would open up an entire market for "Illegal" game consoles which will allow you to play as long as you like. So those people in the Black Market would surely profit from this law. The fact is with so many single parents in the house whole these gaming devices become babysitters. I mean nowadays you can learn everything you need to know good or bad through video games. Needless to say parents need to stop using the video game systems, Ipods, etc..to raised their kids. Personally I play video games with my kids so I've learned a lot more about my kids then the average parent would know and we have a better relationship because of it. But you have to do what works for you and your children. Do you take the time to get to know your children?

Thursday

Battle Rap - B-Magic Vs. Young Kannon

Smack/ URL The leader in MC Battle culture releases another competitive match up between St. Louis B-Magic and Chicago's Young Kannon. Personally I think Young Kannon Killed B-Magic but you be the judge. Tell me what you think...

The Jump Off (UK) - Can A Sex Tape Boost Your Career?

In this debate the guys share some of their views on sex tapes, critique the recently released Tashie Jackson sex tape which spurred some media attention and forced the HIP HOP Honey to make an appearance on Big Brother's Bit On The Side to claim her innocence and touch on celebrities that may have evaded criminal prosecution had they recorded a sex tape.

The following are a few of the questions that were raised in the debate:

- Who do you think leaked the Tashie Jackson sex tape?

- Would you do a sex tape?

- Can sex tapes help your career?

Apple's #1 - Slave Laborers'

When are people going realize that this is standard practice in practically every American company that has the capability to outsource. This is no different than the private own prisons that's hitting the nation by storm. At first no one wanted a Penitentiary in their City or State. Now you have hundreds of government representatives lobbying to get them. Now I wouldn't really call this slavery since they are being paid "something" but it's not far from it. And its definitely not humane to treat people like this. But the strong has always preyed on the weak if you know your history it appears to be the "Human" way. Do you feel outsourcing is a form of slavery?

Game featuring Tyler, The Creator - Martians Vs. Goblins - Video

This song is one of my favorite songs of 2011 I just had to share the video with you guys. The funny thing I just realize one of the reasons I like it so much was the beat. Then I notice that Dr Dre headset was in the video so that explains it all. If you like good lyrical, alternative, hardcore content you will love the video. But if your a very sensitive person go to the next video this is not meant for you. Enjoy...!!!

Wednesday

Hollohan vs Cortez Co-hosted By RAEKWON

Bringing you another one the dopest battles I've seen in a minute. I love the fact that no matter where Wu-Tang goes anyone of its members gets mad love from the Underground HipHop community. I wonder who Raekwon has his money on? This guy Hollohan do you think he really is a racist?

Black Wings - The Tuskegee Airmen

When Black leaders demanded equality and World War II demanded more skilled soldiers, the Tuskegee Airmen, or "Red-Tail Angels," became the first African American pilots to train for combat. If you've never heard this story it's probably because they don't teach this kind of black history in schools. Do your research know your history.

Tuesday

Chaka Khan - The Clive Davis Conspiracy

I always knew Clive Davis had shady business practices he was the mastermind behind Whitney Houston's career. It's that same machine the drove Whitney to drugs and to Bobby Brown to help her deal with her lost identity. Whitney was a "Hood" chick trained to look and act accordingly to appeal to a crossover audience. If you look at Whitney's early career you will understand what I am saying. So I'm not surprise that Clive Davis went on with the party because Whitney was just "Talent" to him and the show must go on. He has exploited Whitney, Busta Rhymes, even Alicia Keys, they all seem to leave after their contract is over. Why do you think? I know Whitney felt bad when she had to go back to him when she wanted to restart her career. I wonder who will profit from her death the most? It probably won't be her daughter or her family... What's your take this situation?

Monday

Street Poetry - Benyamin

Poetry was one of the main outlets we had as disenfranchised people to share positive messages to the masses. Today rap has pretty much replaced poetry but not in a good way for the most part. Today rap tends to glorify the hardships and struggles with fantasies of owning expensive cars, clothes, houses, and don't forget the "Ho's" with little effort. We need more street poets like Benyamin to help us take back our neighborhoods. Without strong families we will not have strong neighborhoods or strong communities. We need to rebuild the family structure we can start by turning off the Radio and TV its poisoning our kids. Ask yourself what is true Power a kid with gun or an educated kid? KNOWLEDGE IS KEY...!!

Bessie Coleman - First Black Woman Pilot

Bessie Coleman wanted to fly, and she wouldn't take no for an answer. As the first Black Woman with a pilot's license, she proved her skill as a stunt pilot.
She manage to get her pilot license despite the fact that she was a woman, black, and no instructor in the United States including the black ones would train her. But that didn't stop Bessie she continued to work as manicurist by day saving her money and by night she taught herself French. You see France was the only country at the time more open to training black pilots. Most people come up with every excuse in the book for they don't pursue their dreams. When I read this story even I felt ashamed, ashamed that I'm not working hard enough to achieve my goals. This story have motivated me to no longer complain about the hardships of building a business. What's your excuse? Are you pursuing your dreams?

Sunday

Erick Sermon - How To Become A Living Legend

Erick Sermon has been one of my favorite Emcees since he came on the seen as half of the group called E.P.M.D.(Erick & Parrish Making Dollars)with his then partner Parrish Smith. But I never new he was so involved in so many projects out side of the Def Squad. He has produced everybody from SWV to Too Short and some of the big time rappers of today like Young Jeezy who was apart of the group called Boyz n da Hood which was signed to Bad Boy Records at the time. This is why I always tell young artist today rapping is just one aspect. In order to last the test of time you need to be versatile in many different areas. Writing your own rhymes is one thing but being able to write for other people and helping them achieve their goals will add years along with value to your legacy. Erick Sermon is most definitely the meaning of UnsungHipHop. What artist do you think should receive the UnsungHipHop Award?

Saturday

Facebook - Father Teaches Daughter A Lesson !!!

First I'd like say I agree with the fathers decision to take it to the extreme with his daughters punishment. My only question is who created this monster? Normally in cases like this the child has been spoiled with material items since birth. Therefore they develop no real appreciation for the things or the people who gave it to them. Or maybe she was spoiled with not being corrected or discipline enough being spoiled comes in many different forms. No child is going to be perfect and you can't Beat them into submission. But if you are consistent in their lives and fair it will make a world of a difference. Personally I would have taken a sledgehammer to the laptop just to add more of a effect. Do you think the father went overborad?

Black Star - (Mos Def/Talib Kweli) Announces Second Album 2012

Back in the day 1998 to be exact, Black Star released their one and only album, Mos Def and Talib Kweli Are Black Star. More than a decade later, Mos Def is no longer called Mos Def he's now Yasiin Bey but he and Kweli are making the second album together. The first new song dropped almost a year ago and didn't reappear until last month, when Black Star performed on US TV show The Colbert Report. The biggest surprise isn't that the track is produced by Madlib, but that it's a riff on a line by Dizzee Rascal. Fix Up opens with a quote from the east London rapper, entreating listeners to "Fix up, look sharp!" Black Star released a second song, You Already Knew. With that came the announcement it's "the first song off Black Star Aretha, the group's [forthcoming] tribute to the legendary singer". While there's no release date for the album, Kweli previously promised a Black Star record in 2012. So fans like myself are anxious about this project its been a long time man I still rock the first Cd. As a matter of fact it's still in my ride right now in heavy rotation. My favorite track on it is "Thieves In The Night", my all time favorite Mos Def/Talib Kweli collaboration. What is your favorite Black Star song?

Friday

Game - Are There Any Gay Rappers ?

Personally I feel as though an openly gay rapper would make a lot of money especially if it's a woman(Because you know men love Lesbians). He/she would be famous overnight because they would have the support of their peers. I do believe there are a lot of gay rappers, producers, owners...etc everywhere in HipHop. This does remind me of The Boondocks with Gangstalicious...."Homies over Hoes" Would you still support your favorite HipHop artist if you knew he/she was gay?

White Man In Black Face - Celebrating Black History?

Okay I'm black and I know this video is suppose to offend me but I'm not. Most blacks would consider this to be racist or stereotypical. My thing is this black people put on white faces in movies and sketch comedies making fun of their mannerisms etc. I must say we do feel entitled to do this because of all the negative things whites have done to us in the past(SLAVERY). But despite of the entitlement issue it would still be considered to be racist. Either way right or wrong one is not better than the other. That fact is one race stereotyping another race is something most people do behind close doors(Except for the Police). Final thought, I don't think this comedian is racist maybe a little insensitive, or ignorant maybe, but really I think he's just trying to get some exposure and make a name for himself. And he's doing a great job since we are all talking about this guy and before today I was unaware of his existence. What do you think?

Thursday

Native Son - Legacy (Music Video)

Man...HipHop is so powerful I think everyone across the globe is sporting the New York Yankee fitted hat. Even though Jay-Z made that hat more famous than the Yankees did. HipHop is so powerful its taken over R&B...hell almost put them out of business. Most singers look like HipHop artist and some of them are even trying to rap too. I must say the only singer I know of that can rap is Chris Brown. Do you now of any other singer that can rap?

Wednesday

God Hop - The Movment (Trailer)

This is going to be something special it reminds me of the first union of the Native Tongue with Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Jungle Brothers etc....We really need to support movements like this. Let's keep the foundation of HipHop alive by supporting your local artist.

Interracial Marriage - The Loving Story (Based on a True Story)

It's amazing how far we have come but yet we still have a ways to go. I remember my grandmother used to tell me, "If she can't use your comb don't bring her home". So with that type of up bringing I never really got into interracial dating thing especially while living in a all black neighborhood. The black girls on my block would literally beat any white girl they saw walking with a black guy. This is still a hot topic with my family to this day. How do you feel about dating outside of your race?

Tech N9ne presents "HOSTILE TAKEOVER 2012" Tour

I don't go to many concerts but I definitely will be going to this one I love to watch straight Raw talent. I think the last time I been to a concert was when De La Soul was in Baltimore 2002. Wow...I'm getting old...lol When was the last time you went to a concert?

Tuesday

Blu - Jesus (Official Music Video)

Blu is part of that new wave of Emcees coming from the west coast which has taken California by storm. The west coast has been flying under the radar since the full of Deathrow Records. But this new gang of skateboarding Emcees are putting the west coast back on the map. And I love it....!!! Who is your favorite west coast rapper?

Planet Asia - Golden State (Official Music Video)

Planet Asia presents the first music video from his new album "Black Belt Theatre," in stores everywhere on February 28th, 2012. Inspired by classic kung-fu and blaxploitation cinema, "Black Belt Theatre" features appearances from Raekwon, Talib Kweli, Paul Wall, Ras Kass, Camp Lo, Fashawn, Rasco, Willie The Kid, Torae, Mistah FAB, and The Jacka, plus production from Oh No, Khrysis, DirtyDiggs, and more. Video directed by Steven Lefkovitz. Now that I got that legal mumbo jumbo out the way...Planet Asia is one of dopest underground artist out there. I like his smooth style,he kind of remind me of Guru. He doesn't have to beat you over the head with a whole bunch of Ra Ra because his lyrics are vicious.

Monday

Ground Up - (featuring Young Chris) - Music Video

When I first started UnsungHipHop.Com I thought only the old heads like myself were doing the "Real" street HipHop. Boy was I wrong, but you must admit if your source of HipHop is only TV or Radio misconception is expected. The internet is such a huge tool to promoting yourself and networking. To all my young Emcees out there you don't have to have a "Radio" hit to be successful. Fact: Justin Bieber has never had a "Radio" hit...Ever. Get my point? Be yourself do what you feel in you heart is right with A LOT OF WORK you will eventually find your audience.

Sunday

KRS-ONE - Beyond HipHop Entertainment

I wish I had KRS-ONE as my history teacher he makes the History of HipHop entertaining. This would be a good subject to be taught in our public schools. Just think about it black people spend most their grade years learning about cultures rather than their own. Black History did not began with slavery we were Kings and Queens with our on way of life, religion, language, and currency. We were scholars before there were colleges.

Statik Selektah - Where Did It All Begin?

Statik Selektah is one of the hardest working and illest producers around. Made in the mold of legendary producers like DJ Premier and Pete Rock, his tracks have defined today's underground sound. And, he has worked with everyone from Freddie Gibbs, Termanology, Action Bronson, Big K.R.I.T. and Reks to KRS-One, OC, Nas, AZ and M.O.P. Here's a look at the influences that helped shape his sound. He discusses his evolution from the music of MC Hammer to KRS-One, Rakim, Nas and, of course, DJ Premier. Who is your favorite DJ?

Voltron - HipHop Cartoon Parts(1-5)

Voltron goes HipHop....You can't get better than this I grew up watching this cartoon but I can't say it made me want to go buy a sprite LOL. But the attempt was cool though I really wish all of HipHop sub genres could you unite like this. Take our culture back from the greedy corporations that own most of us..!!!

David Ross - Releases First Solo Album

Late Bloomer David Ross Releases First Solo Album | The Afro-American Newspapers | Your Community. Your History. Your News.

Saturday

The Cypher - Mos Def, Black Thought, Eminem

I'm sorry but you can't get much better than this....THE IS EMCEEING. You will probably never hear this combination of Emcees like this again. Who is your favorite freestyle Emcee?

The Making of Def Poetry

Def Poetry, also known as Russell Simmons Presents Def Poetry or Def Poetry Jam, which was co-founded by Bruce George, Danny Simmons and Deborah Pointer, is an HBO television series produced by hip-hop music entrepreneur Russell Simmons. The series presents performances by established spoken word poets, as well as up-and-coming ones. Well-known actors and musicians will often surprise the audience by showing up to recite their own original poems. The show is hosted by Mos Def. Def Poetry is a spin-off of Def Comedy Jam. As he did on Def Comedy, Russell Simmons appears at the end of every episode to thank the audience. "Thank ya'll for coming out, God bless and good night".

The series included historical legendary poets such as, The Last Poets, Nikki Giovanni, Amiri Baraka and Sonya Sanchez. It also featured poets, Saul Williams, Grammy Award Winning J. Ivy, Jessica Care-Moore and Lemon. Though technically not a poetry slam, Def Poetry has become heavily associated with the poetry slam movement, and utilizes many of poetry slam's best known poets, including National Poetry Slam champions such as Beau Sia, Taylor Mali, Big Poppa E, Mayda del Valle, Mike Mcgee, Alix Olson and Rives, among others.

Jungle Brothers - Baby Bam (Interview)

Afrika Baby Bam from the Legendary Jungle Brothers stopped by and chopped it up with Breakbeats & Rhymes Radio. It was the first show of 2011 and one of the best interviews we've been a part of. If you are aware of the Jungle Brothers you can only imagine the amount of Hiphop knowledge that was discussed. Just a few years back he left the group to pursue a solo career doing music under his new Pagan religion. That totally blew my mind when I Googled the religion and read up on their beliefs. Now I'm not judgmental but when you are a fan you tend to see celebrities in a different light.

Friday

UK - This Is Black History Month

I am really feeling this UK Underground HipHop movement....wow...these guys are on point. I'd like to see the first UK hiphop star worldwide making more money than Baby and Nem....lol. But that's a dream until us as HipHop culture become more diverse on our music selection they will continue to feed us garbage. I'm not knocking mainstream HipHop not even Soulja Boy, I'm just saying play all forms of HipHop not just the McDonalds of HipHop give me some Ruth Chris. And what ever happen to the dope female Emcees? The Revolution is here..!! Who's coming with me?

Once Upon A Time In America - (Banned From Public T.V.)

I don't know what year this cartoon came out but they sure did banned to from public television. Why? Watch it and you be the judge. With all the controversial television shows on the air it amazes me what gets air play and what doesn't. Is this cartoon any different from all the other garbage they allow on the air?

HipHop Kung Fu

I'd like to dedicate this clip to my Best Friend Ron aka Jim Kelly, aka Bushido Brown, aka Captain Hook. One day a group of my best friends (J.R. aka most bones broken in Tekken guy, Tai aka Sometimes he hides guy, and Mike aka somethin' to do guy) were playing basketball. While the game was going Ron was demonstrating his moves to Kwan a local rival martial artist. While I was attempting a three point shot Ron's 360 Jimmy Super Fly Snuka kicked me in the HEAD knocking me into the fence. Fortunately for me I have a metal plate in my head or else I probably would be in a wheelchair. This video gives nightmares of the fatal day.... Thanks Bushido Brown.

Battle Rap - Miles vs Tech-9

SMACK/ URL's Summer Madness was the biggest MC Battle event in history. The card was stacked with some of the best MC's in the world and one of the most anticipated Battles of the evening was between Philly"s Tech-9 and Detroit's Midwest Miles. These two lyrical giants put on a performance to be remembered. Tech-9 is one of the best freestyle artist but I've always wondered how can you package it and sell this type of talent. Fact is most Battle Emcees don't make it in the Big Game normally because they change there styles and their original fans drop off. It was rumored when Jay-Z was beefing with Nas they were going to do a PayPer-View. Imagine if Underground battles got to that level, would you pay to watch your favorite Emcees go against each other? I know I would pay to see Lil Wayne Vs. Black Thought from The Roots.

Battle Rap - Dna vs. T-rex

Time is Money Presents an Epic battle Between Harlem legend T-rex and Queens Golden Child Dna. This was the main event from their groundbreaking first event. I always have to Highlight the origin of HipHop. And for those who don't know it started with The Battle. This is not that commercial s#%! because if you don't bring you crew and you win you might be limping home.

K-9 - New Sound Era

K-9 is one of the Dopest Emcees I know straight out of the UK. Its obvious that underground HipHop is not a local but a International Movement. I can't wait until one of the many Asian Emcees get their big break and really flip the game. I've been telling people for years that if it wasn't for Underground HipHop main stream HipHop wouldn't exist. Do you have a favorite international Emcee?

Thursday

I Self Devine - The Upliftment Struggle

This is one of my favorite California Emcees his s#%^& is just too real for commercial audiences. Funny thing a few years back I never knew Emcees like this exist other than east coast. This "ReaL" underground HipHop movement was larger than I anticipated. Check him out as he talks about family and coming up in the struggle of poverty and mayhem.

Wednesday

How To Keep Black People Down 101

When I found this clip I was almost floored...wow. The truth sure hurts if we choose to recognize it or not we must face it eventually. Slavery has come and gone but the residual affects still exist. Nowadays we are our own worst enemy....WAKE UP BLACK PEOPLE WAKE UP..!!!! I heard someone say if you want to hide something from a black man put it in a book because you know those Niggers don't read.

Murs - When Did HipHop Become Apart Of Your Life?

Murs is cerebral and complex. The term "real" gets thrown around a lot but Murs is as real as it gets. We sat down with him and he talked about what shaped him in becoming an MC. He covers everything from the impact of Eazy-E and LL Cool J to growing up in a Crip neighborhood to Oreo cookies. He even shares that he was laughed at the first time he wrote a rhyme. I like Murs style he is a "Real" Emcee to me because he rhyme about real subjects. You have to just talk about the street life in order to rhyme about real situations. Tell me what you think?

Charlamagne - Breaks Down Jay-Z vs Lil Wayne

First allow me to say I have not bought neither one of these guys Cds they are generally not my type of Emcees. That being said I do think that Jay-Z is a better lyrical Emcee than Lil Wayne. They both found their niche in HipHop and the have learned to capitalize on it. I'm not a fan of neither, I gravitate to the more conscience educational type HipHop like Common, Mos Def, or Immortal Technique. Not saying I don't listen to other forms of HipHop but that is mostly what I listen to. I love my street HipHop like DMX, ONYX, or Wu Tang Clan. I guess it all depends on you personal taste. Don Cornelius - Dead at 75 (Self-Inflicted Wounds?)

I don't know what to say about this story exactly but it doesn't sound right to me. Older man younger woman older man ends of dead this sounds too familiar. I could be wrong but I still say Gary Colemans wife has something to do with his death. You guys tell me what you think?

Jump Off UK - What Is "Urban" Music?

This is a debate we need to have here in the states because I'm still trying understand what is Neo-Soul? But I will say this Dj Snips has definitely been doing his homework. A lot of times in order to sell a specific genre of music the media normally controlled by the corporations change names to make that specific culture or race feel comfortable about buying their product. It's a marketing strategy used by many businesses, like the word "Homemade". How can it be homemade if it's mass produced in a warehouse. I always thought Urban black music also because you rarely see urban music on Cd's performed by other races mentioning urban. What do you think?
